Felt compelled to write this review because it requires you to add a credit card although its not charged. Open table does not require this. Not sure if its the app or the restaurant. Weird. Also sign on via Facebook or gmail still requires you to enter those passwords which kind of defeats the purpose of using those stored passwords to sign up. I really wanted to go to Del Popolo so I endured through the process....not easy

So as everyone points out on here, this sneaky app charges you to make reservations that you can make for free using something like Open Table or by simply calling. Their business model is to get enough people to be fooled into this once (cause who would do it again once youve realized youve been conned). That said, it has a fantastic interface and recommends great restaurants. So do what we do: use it to find places to eat, book it using other services...like a telephone.

im not putting my credit card in to some newbie app. Open tables got the market cornered and youre not offering any improvements on them, go home Resy!

I tried Resy out because one of my favorite restaurants was on their platform. Its much easier to use than Opentable - mainly because it cuts out all the noise. Ill definitely be trying it again.

Super sleek, easy to use and only the best restaurants in my city. I use Resy as my go-to restaurant checklist.

This is the best reservation app Ive found. The quality of restaurants is higher and Ive been lucky enough to get tables at peak times. Definitely my new go-to when I want to eat out.

I dont hate the concept of paying for reservations, I hate the way this app hides the info. Reservations can be free, $5, $10 whatever. But you dont know the cost until you click on the restaurant and time. No way to sort, filter or anything. What an absurd design.

Both times I responded to text notifications instantly only to be told the table I wanted was already booked. Then I noticed they emailed me earlier. I suppose the subsequent text message is to try and make me think the app is not a waste of time.

This app is great for people who dine out often and without advanced planning. The fact you are willing to put down a credit card shows the restaurant you are serious and are therefore more likely to get a reservation at a hot spot. Many restaurants clearly state they wont charge you if you miss the reservation however the common courtesy of a phone call or in-app cancellation is expected. The waiting list feature is excellent and popular based on the fact available tables are snatched up within seconds of becoming available. If you watch your phone for a message from Resy that a table became available at the last minute you can almost always get a table at your restaurant of choice. This app is indeed excellent.

Great design and selection of restaurants! I like the notify feature.

It spends a few moments locating me, and then it shows me the same two restaurants. A taqueria I can probably walk into, and an Italian restaurant I can probably walk into. So, I made the dates a little less desirable (its Friday evening after all) and the same two restaurants showed up (for a Tuesday at 8:00). I cant imagine getting a reservation at these places is particularly difficult. So it supersedes the need for this app. Im sure more infrastructure needs to be built out before we start seeing time slots for brooklyn fare on here. But it looks like its gonna be a long while. Skip for now, unless you want tacos or Italian food.

Love this idea! Downloaded and cant wait to try it out when Im in NYC next month. We actually have a big group and were trying to find a venue so this is perfect! Cant wait till this comes to Nashville!

Nothing worse than an app where you cannot figure out how to remove the notification badge. Sure I can turn them off, but then that makes the app worthless (which it is). Quick delete

Idea behind this app is great. Unfortunately there are not enough restaurants to choose from. Please sign up more ASAP!

Resy is fantastic for any user or business to utilise. Its the epitome of what you want when you want it. Eliminating the middle man and being where you want to be. Its beautiful in design and in line with where apps are moving. Ive had nothing but great experiences and look forwRd to using in more cities. Now --- lets eat.

Beautiful app, works exactly the way I want it to - I need a great table and an amazing experience and Resy gets it for me with no effort on my part. I love this app!

App is pretty, intuitive and fast. Good restaurant selection. Great customer service too. Almost don’t want to review it so I can keep it to myself!

Access to terrific restaurants without normal the stress and hassle. Fantastic and worth every penny.
